My name is Emma Francine Carter-Constant.  I have worked as an educator for the past 18 years where I have spent 13 of those years here at Jefferson Davis High School as a part of the Career Technology Education Department.  I co-advise Future Business Leaders of America and facilitate the leadership of over 30 members.

I currently teach Personal Finance and Principles of Accounting.  I previously taught 13 years at Jefferson Davis High School in Montgomery, Alabama and 3 years in Elmore County at Wetumpka High School. I was temporarily split between Wetumpka and Holtville  High in the Business Department and was fortunate to direct a Gospel Choir where we gained notariety for the variety of music performed in a diverse group of students.  During my tenture in Elmore County, business students gained experience as entreprenuers and as a lab, we opened a school gift shop as well as managed individual small businesses such as bird house production, a mobile car wash, boat washing, and typing services.

I have experience as a medical management consultant where I was responsible for the set up of medical practices of physicians to the area to include provision of total staff needs, office management, billing and coding, and medical supply.

I enjoy watching the light bulb come on for students who realize that taking advantage of opportunitites available in the classroom lead to a more successful future.  It is my pleasure to be a part of shaping the lives of our future leaders.

My personal mantra is "If I can help somebody as I pass along, then my living is not in vain."
